I have a Siberean Husky and He is getting to the age where he wants to run alot. I'm living in a apartment and can't let him run free. I try and run with him every night. but what is the Best way to exercise such and energetic dog? I understand that I should have a yard and a big enough place I will be moving within a year but I need advice for now.

- tie um to a tredmile and leave um for a while =]
- park field
- give him to someone that can exercise him properly - those dogs are not good for apartments
- let him run on a treadmill
- You could buy a tred-mill. Ofcourse you have to still walk the dog but using both methods will give your dog stamina.
- Take him to a lake and let him have a swim around - I am sure that when all that fur gets wet it will get heavy, it will take up all his energy to swim to the shore!
- invest on a treadmil. and have him run on it.
- You've got a husky and you live in an apartment? What on earth? You need to take this large dog for walks at least twice a day for at least 30 minutes a time, off the lead preferably. If you can't do this, then you shouldn't have a dog.
- treadmill. i have seen it done.
- Dog parks. Or what you are already doing. Maybe have him run alongside you while you are on a bike. Either way, the poor guy needs to get that energy out, or he will start misbehaving.
- ok what you do is put his leash on him and tie the leash to a tred mill and turn the tred mill on high untill he gets tired hahahahah
- Your doing good running with him every night.. Not much you can do living in an apartment...
- you should get a min. poodle or move to the country
- depends... running with him is a good idea.. if he plays catch with a stick or a ball you could take him to a park or a beach or someplace nearby and play fetch- that gets them a lot of excersize- continue the runs thouhg.. they are good for both him and you!

- take it for walks each day. 15or20min
- I have the same dog..Yup tell me about it they are very energetic..i run with mine or walk dependin on how i feeel....i take em to the dog beach or dog park also...
- You should try to find a local park that you could take him to and let him off the leash. If you can't keep up with him, play fetch... he does all the work and all you have to do is throw (yeah I'm lazy). Also you could get a bike and one of those dog leash attachements that keep the dog from getting too close. This would let you move fast enough to give him plenty of exercise. Since usually the dog can out run us humans. Best of luck to you and the little fella!
- jogging is the best way to go if the dog loves to run:-)
- You either take him on walks or a run. I would try to do this at least twice a day, one in the morning and then one in the evening. A combo of walking and running should do the trick. If he likes to chase balls, you could play that inside and he will get the exercise he needs that way.
- get him one of those weasle balls that move around on its own, turn it on, put baby gates in the kitchen entrances and let him play with it in there inless he's scared of it:-) my dog was at first
- I want to say get out of the apt and into a place with a yard, but I know that is a tall order and I don't know your situation. But they really do need to get out and run at least once per day. It is critical for their health and well being (not to mention you and your apt). In the meantime, take him out to a park and run him until he is tired. Get him to fetch things, like tennis ball, old used up shoe, frisbee, etc... If you can't get him to fetch (chase & bring back), ride your bicycle/skate with him running along side of you. Run him until he goes out of steam (pants and wants to lie down). You'll have fun and you'll meet people too. Good luck !
- Try taking him to a dog park, or a park that is fenced in so he can run freely. Or maybe someone you know has a large fenced in yard. You could try a tread mill. Also try riding a bike while he runs along side of you. Or if you have the time, agility might be GREAT for him. I work at a vet clinic and a lot of owners will take their dogs to agility just for fun and exercise. You could also try taking him to a lake so he can swim and chase a ball. Or try taking him on walks more frequently. I hope this helps, and if you are still having trouble exercising him, maybe find someone who would like to take him who can does have the space for him.
- What my fiance' and I do is we throw a ball with our labs until they are tired and then we walk them. They about pass out on the lawn walking back. They love that. Teach him how to bring it back to you and tell him to "drop it", that way he learns that he won't be able to go get it until he gives it to you. My oldest lab, if we say "toy" he will get a toy and bring it to us, he knows we throw his toys!Hope this helps! Just try it!
- Consider putting him in daycare a couple of days a week. I run with my labs, but if I'm having a busy week and can't, they get destructive. So I'll put them in daycare and they sleep for the next day and a half. Good luck!
