i need to know if there are any other ways to use gymnastics as exercise?

i need help finding other ways to use gymnastics as an exercise, because push ups ans sit ups are just way old, and i just really need to know if there is more tricks i could pull off using gymnastics, i know how to do a hand stand, back bend, cart wheel, round off, a round off lifting my hands up before i touch the ground, a back bend where i walk around myself. could you just give me the name of the stunt, and i could look it up, or a website with the stunts????

  1. Look up Hindu Pushups and there are other "hindu" excercises. You could also make a gymnastics routine to music, and do that for a workout. Put your moves together in a routine, start short and make it longer as you progress.
  2. I used to date a gymnast, and what she used to like to do as a workout was take me to the bedroom and work on some stunts in there.
  3. I was a level 10 trampolinist and it is the best excercise. If you learn to do the tricks correctly u have to squeeze every muscle in your body and u will get really toned. For core(like a six pack) bounce on ur back 100 or more times on the trampoline.
  4. Stripper Pole.... Exercise and get tiped for it.

  6. Heres the good news: It sounds like you're on the right track with these basic moves. And trust me, there are countless skills in gymnastics. I don't even know them all and I've been in it for almost fourteen years! And now for the part you may be less than thrilled about: You really need to enroll in some kind of class to try new things! In order to build on these moves you will have to take risks, and without the proper equipment and a knowlegable coach you may hurt yourself! If cost is an issue some YMCA's offer classes for only $15.00-$30.00 a session (about 7-10 classes).
