Good ways to lose weight for a teen girl at home?

Going to a gym or whatever...not realistic. What are some ways I can lose weight at home? Healthy things to eat? Good exercises?

  1. Just eat fruits and veggies and do stair cardio each day for 15 minutes. I would also suggest eating only 1100 calories a day and you should lose 5-10 pounds a week. Good luck!
  2. run up and down the stairs, it works your cardio and you also get a nice sexy legs and behind ;), try to be as active in doing what ever, even turning on the t.v. dont use the remote get up and manually turn it on. for food drink a glass of water before eating, it makes you feel full so your dont eat as much as you normally would, hope this helps, caz i kno doing these i finally reached my goal weight.
  3. The Key to a new body is consistency. When you decide how you want to loose weight stick to it. Healthy eating is also an important key to loosing weight. But crash diets are not good for you, and acually if you do not eat your body goes through dramatic phases and may make you even larger because your metabolism slows down, thinking that you may be starving! If you buy unhealthy foods or if they are around you, you will be tempted to eat them. Sorround yourself with healthy but good-tasting foods. Did you know fruits and vegitable contain a lot of sugar! Too much of anything is not good! Fruits and vegitables do not contain protein which is needed to loose weight! You need to have diary products! (Some healthy choices are beans, cheese, milk, soy ect) However not having enough sugar in your body, is unhealthy!If you are a couch potato work out while you are watching television. You can work out during commercails, or through the whole show. Search the web for some good excersises for whatever you think you need help on. (If you think your stomach could be less flabby, leggs, arms whatever!) Set goals for yourself and dont give up! DO NOT eat when you are watching TV. When you watch TV you ae disracted, so you dont even see how much you are eating. If you really enjoy eating and watchhing TV I understand, just make sure that you put whatever you want in a bowl, or make some way to set how much you are eating. Good luck!

Cardio = jumping rope mixed with jumping jacks, aerobics tapes, dancing, biking, walking/jogging, swimming Toning = abdominal work (like crunches), squats (legs together and legs wide), push ups (these are the best), chair dips (for triceps), and using things around the house for resistance (like books for shoulder press or to add weight to your crunches) Food = People usually know what is good for them; it's just a matter of eating it. Be sure to have your parents stock up on healthy stuff, like fruits, veggies, whole grain breads, natural peanut butter, nuts and lean meats. Frozen fruits and veggies are often cheaper and can be just as healthy if they aren't sweetened or dunked in sauce.

  7. If you have money i would suggest buying a yoga or kickboxing dvd. If you dont have money do a series of excersizes like 50 crunches, 15 push ups, 30 jumping jacks, walk up and down your stairs a few times, squats against the wall every day. Eat a very good breakfast with cereal, fruit, yogurt, eggs, whole grain toast with peanut butter, orange/apple juice. Then only allow yourself like fast food once or twice a week. Only one serving of dessert a day. Only 32 oz of caffinated beverages a day ( pop, cappaccino). Its difficult at first but you'll get used to it. Eating protien is good because it keeps you fuller longer like meats, eggs, and nuts (especially almonds)!
  8. Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals. Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day. U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.
