Best ways to train at home for swimming.?

I need some ideas what i should eat and do to train my body so that i am better at swimming. I would prefer to do all the training exercises at home and the swimming season is over now.

  1. ahh im a swimmer too and going through the same probably. I know this isnt what you want to hear, cuz the season ends and your like thank god, but the only way to really stay in shape is to stay in the water, even if its just once or twice a week(i know it sucks because your thinking finally my hair will be normal again , score!!). But as too stuff you can do at home, well anything normal to stay fit, if you have weights try some upper body strength lifting for that extra pull, or try running around the block. and dont forget you fruit and veggies!
  2. Just exercise. Lift weights, run. I assume you already know how to swim. To swim more and better, you need strength and endurance.
  3. do cardio, get your condition up, also excersize you leg and arm muscles, especially the deltoids, triceps, and quadriceps.
  4. Lay on your bed and practice the strokes. It will help your form alot. Just practice for ten minutes each night.
  5. weight training.
