What are some fast, cheap, and easy ways to loose weight?
I am a struggling college student and I am wanting to loose about 20 lbs. I don't have the money to try those fancy diets and I have 2 jobs, so I don't have much time for exercise. I swim as often as I can. I would appreciate your responses! I am right around 150 right now... I wear size 8 jeans. I'm not fat, but I really want to look good in a swim suit this year. I am wanting to get back into a 6 or maybe a 4. And I already drink water....

- just eat healthy and exercise...best way
- Eat less carbs, excersise at least for 30/(do crunches while you watch tv) I was just reading this article. It said: Eat a little less, so that your body burns more than you take in (but not too much, thats unhealthy) It gives a hunger table (from 1-10) and what you should do depending on your hunger level. If you want to, i can email it to you. hope you reach your goal!
- Try these simple ideas: Stop eating before 6PM. Drink water only. Eat 3 regular meals with 3 snacks in between (apples, raisens, carrots with dressing, wheat crackers, things that will fill you up)...This way you keep the fire (metabolism) burning. Stay away from fast food. Bring a sandwich. Have your purse packed with snacks so you won't be tempted to eat junk. Hope these ideas help! :) Best of luck!
- Wow, fast, cheap and easy? I don't think loosing weight should be fast. You are only supposed to loose 1 or 2 pounds a week to maintain good health. Cheap would be exercising in a way that doesn't cost any money (swimming, jogging, catching a fitness show on tv every morning or so). Easy? I don't think loosing weight is necessarily easy. We shouldn't skip meals because it puts out body in the mode of storing fat to save energy. I've heard it suggested to having something to eat (snacks) every couple of hours to ward off the starved feeling which makes us eat a lot. Now snacking would be like carrots, celery, almonds, raisins, a piece of fruit, yogurt, that type of thing. We should eat more fruits and vegetables and try to stay away from high fat foods. Lots of water helps to purify our systems. Trying to exercise when you can, burning calories, is necessary. The fact that you are swimming is great. Swimming is one of the best activities you can do for overall body fitness. You might want to try to add in a little walking/jogging, do some jumping jacks at home, grab a jump rope and start jumping, buy some weights (not the big free weights either, the ones you can buy in increments of 1 and 2 lbs on up) or use canned veggies for your arms weights or water bottles with sand in them (free). Look online for tips on how to get fit without it costing a fortune. Consistency is the key. You might not loose it fast, but you will eventually notice a difference in your weight and your body tone. Also remember that you might step on the scale and weigh a little more because when we exercise we gain muscle. However, your waistline may have gone down :-) Good luck! Keep it healthy, whatever you choose to do.
- well you are in luck. you do not have to spend anything in order to reach your fitness goals. First you want to work on what you are eating. i am a college student and i know the urge to want to eat whatever's fast, easy and cheap. try and resist this urge. try to limit your junk food intake and eat lots of vegetables and drink lots of water. however you DO NOT want to only eat vegetables, you need to eat a balance of carbs, protein and fat(no trans fat and limit saturated fat). most important thing to take out is sugar. you don't want to starve yourself. starving yourself won't help. try and eat small meals more often. ideally 5-6 SMALL meals a day. you also want to squeeze exercise in wherever you can. walk or ride your bike to work and school. when you do walk try and walk at a good pace. do exercises at home. pushups, situps and stretching are all free. if you can get a hold of an exercise ball there is a million great exercises that you can do on them. keep on swimming, it's a great exercise. and try and get into some water aerobic classes, they are not just for older ladies, it's actually a great form of exercise. good luck!
- Exercise everyday like jogging around the block Skip meals. Eat 2 times per day than 3 times per day Dont eat until you're full Eat fruits at night if your hungry. Drinks lots of water and stop all the fast food and chocolate. There are more tips and info. there's a video on success fitness too.
