Ways to exercise more

exercise question. easy points.?

okay im starting high school, and i want to lose atleast 20-25 pounds before school starts, its july, and school starts in september. should i drink a lot of water, and run? what is the fastest and easiest way to lose weight? my overall goal for next year is 40 pounds.

  2. First of all...how much do you weigh??? It's not safe to lose that much weight in so few months!! Exercising is a great idea...but don't overdo it! You shouldn't run more than an hour a day...and not at the same time, either. Start off slow, or you'll end up with anorexia. Trust me on that one! Also, you can eat healthier...but don't count or restrict calories. It is a bad idea, at your age, to be worrying this much about weight. Focus instead on making yourself healthier...not thinner. If you need to lose weight for a medical condition, then do so with doctor's help. But if you're not overweight, STOP worrying!!

  4. It is extremely unsafe to lose 20-25 pounds in a month. If you want to begin losing now exercise, drink water, eat sensibly and everything will fall into place. When you lose weight really fast like you want to you end up just losing water weight and your body goes into starvation mode. The minute you go back to your old habits you gain all the weight back plus a few more pounds. Losing it sensibly helps keep it off.
  5. If you were successful in losing that much weight so quickly, you'd have to keep using the same diet/exercise tactics over the next few months to keep the weight off. Otherwise you'll gain it all right back along with a few extra pounds. So be careful. What is making you so desperate to lose weight before the school year begins? I'm imagining that you must have some massive anxiety about starting high school.
  6. It's different for every person, but my advice would be running. I trained for a half marathon last year (the farthest I'd run before that was 2 miles!) and not only did every body part slim down, but I just looked and felt toned. Look up training schedules online, though. If you try to run too far or too much too quickly, you can definitely get hurt. Also, drink lots of water and watch what you eat. Don't deprive yourself of anything, it usually doesn't work. If you want ice cream, eat it, just eat less than you normally would. Good luck!
