I am obese and if so is there anyway easy ways to lose weight?
Okay I am 12 years old. I turn 13 in December. I am just below 60kgs. And about 150cm. I already know I am overweight but is there any easy ways to lose 10-15kg by December? I am prepared to exercise. A gym isnt an option. And the only exercise machines we have are ones for legs. I am pretty flexible about what I eat. Except I dont like fruit but I love vegetables. All my family is overweight. We go out to dinner once a week. I tend to only go out with them every 2-3 weeks. We eat unhealthy but if I dont eat the dinner with them I have to make it myself. But I am prepared to make easy recipes if needed. And please dont go on about being to young. I have dealt with teasing for years.

- you are a lot mature for a 12 year old. i am overweight myself and i am walking everyday. you can join your school gym and cut back on junk food. by junk food i mean, fries, burger, myo, ketchup, colas. you dont have to eat only veggies but you can also try lean meat and soups. dont add butter in it. talk to your coach to take you to a dietition. i am a bit overweight and i know how it hurts when people laugh at you.dont worry about them. they are loosers.try to get into a programme. maybe you can try yoga. it deals with the entire body. try to bring your family to yoga classes too. good luck.
- The fastest and healthiest way to lose weight is to eat a balanced, reduced-calorie diet. Exercise contributes some, but only 10-20% of the calories in most cases. What it WILL do is "buy back" some calories for you so you don't feel like you're starving. You can probably expect to lose about 1 pound a week on average if you're really serious about it. And don't freak if one day you're up 3 pounds (1.5 kg or so) or whatever... over a week, you'll go up and down within about that much range. Weigh yourself at the same time each day... usually the mornings give you the lowest reading. You've made a great start with the vegetables. Here's a hint: the more you use spices instead of butter / oil, etc., the more you'll like the food. Fat is the most calorie dense food, so the more of that you can avoid, the better. Carbs burn off fast if you are active. Eating a diet with a healthy amount of low-fat protein is a good way to make sure you "feel full". Fish is great for that, as it also contains healthy omega-3 fatty acids, etc. As for the exercise machines for the legs, etc. -- as long as you can get a good cardio workout (and not just strength), it's all good. - Walk, walk, walk! My partner was obese when we started going out - he was 155kgs. Now 85kgs. Obese people can lose weight faster than slimmer people through fast walking due a larger person burning more energy to walk/move. You need to build muscle at well as lose fat. Muscle burns fat. Fit balls are GREAT to use with 100's of exercises. Use funky music. PS My father was Mr Universe Masters 2004 :)
