What are good ways to get motivated to exercise in the morning?
I just don't want to - I am so tired and in the morning especially - since I am by NO MEANS a morning person, I just want to sleep. But I know it needs to be done. I have rheumatoid arthritis, and I feel the pain really in the morning - and this is also part of it. But I know when I work through it, then I will feel better. You would think that would be motivation enough. HAHAHA

- Coffee
- Get a walking partner
- watch keep fit program on morning show
- LETS GO
- Listen to some upbeat music in the morning. Whenever I listen to music with a high tempo, it motivates me to exercise.
- music. find a upbeat song that gets you pumped up.
- just get up and do it right away, don't wait, hesiate, or think about it. just do it. I found that the minute I thought about it, I didn't do it.
- If you truly intend to exercise (and keep at it) and you are not a morning person, DO NOT exercise in the morning. Exercise is most enjoyable (if at all) when you enjoy doing it. Find the time that is right for you.
- Know the feeling. How about promising yourself your most favorite breakfast?
- Think of how sexy your gonna look all the pretty clothes your gonna wear think of all the endorphins your gonna release
- Maybe get a dog and walk him in the morning. That way you find responsiblity to wake up. =)
- If you have a stereo with remote in your room, keep the remote by your bed and kick it on first thing when you wake up. Don't forget to put in some up-beat songs!
- I like to stand up really straight then slowly lower my head so that my eyes are staring at my gut. Then I am motivated to exercise.
- I am going to keep reading the answers on this post, I also have arthritis, but not rheumatoid which I am sure is more painful, I have it in my knees from being a step aerobics instructor, I am only 37. I hate working out in the morning, yet this is the only time I can do it. I have been doing it 3 times a week, but I would like to do it more.
- you dont have to!Do it in the afternoon!
- -music -a picture of a perfect body(yours or ther's) in front of your bed, so that when you open your eyes you see it. -a delicious breakfast, that you make a law you can only have it on days you do your exercise.
- Better than coffee, get a picture of someone who is over 800 lbs (yes there are pictures out there search the web) with all their flab showing, bedridden and the huge tumors that grow because of lack of movement. Put this picture right next to your alarm clock along with your coffee. WIN WIN situration
- Keep all your workout clothes, shoes etc. next to your bed, so your ready in the morning. Wake up, put them on and go !
- Yeah dont have kids, just joking.Yoga is very good to do very first thing when u wake.It refreshes body and mind.Even when u r sore its very good for this.,as u breath and release stale energy and energize whole being.
- you have the pain and you know how to release it. the best person to motivate you is you yourself. peoples just can ask you and cannot do it for you.
- i like to beat off first thing in the morning to get that first shot of adrenaline goin. then ill do two shots of vodka with some cranberry along with two healthy shots of esspresso. hit the gym for an hour and a half and bang! you never even know what hit ya.
- If you aren't a morning person, find a time that works better for you. An important part of picking a exercise routine is that you enjoy it. If you dread it, you will never stick with it, and consistency is what gets results. Of course, there are some ways to try and get your energy level up in the morning. Getting enough sleep is an obvious one, as well as changing your diet (eating right really gives you a lot of energy).
- I'm trying to lose weight too and it's sooo hard. My aunt is using a weight loss product and it's really working for her. I'm gonna try it and I recommend you try it too. Check their website at http://www.thin-weight-loss.us , my aunt got a free trial and paid only $6.95 shipping and handling.
- I'm sorry I can't really be of any help in this department. I don't feel like doing anything in the morning, much less exercise....eeew! LOL! Personally, I would say get up, have a cup of coffee (or tea), watch the morning news or whatever til you're awake, then go for the exercise program of your choice. Good luck!
