Ways to exercise more

Are there any really fun and cheap ways to exercise?

I'd like to take up something that can become a skill if I practice, like ice skating but I can't afford that!

  1. Skateboarding? That'll get you a lot of bumps and bruises though, but can be quite a workout.
  2. Buy a pair of inline skates, roller skates, or even a skateboard, and go for it! Inline skates can help prepare you to ice skate someday, or so I've heard.
  3. Maybe a Martial Art?
  4. No, I can't think of any other then playing some kind of game like baseball.
  5. Dance!
  6. This is a rather cheap way, and it is really fun. Buy a Juilz Arney take at K-mart for about 10 dollars. It is a really fun dance vido. All that you need is that, stretchy pants, a DVD player, open space, and your comitment. Good Luck and i hope that I helped you out!
  7. do yoga regularly ..you will enjoy ...
  8. yeah go to 24/7 well thats my best way!
  9. crank up the radio and DANCE DANCE DANCE!!!!!
  10. Yes. Do you live near a beach? Walk a mile at low tide and take a camera- digital preferably (but disposable provides great photos) and breathe in the natural air as you enjoy sheer beauty and peace. As you explore nature, you will see things, hear, smell -use your senses etc and wonder. You may be inspired to write. Swim or wade in the water. You can play beach volleyball, build sand castles, gather shells, beachcomb for treasures from the sea etc. Those who live urban or suburban can listen to the ocean and perform isometric exercises, dance, twirl etc. The imagination defies limits and fun is simple. Looking for lost coins during a walk in the park or the neighbourhood could be 'fun exercise' and 'cheap'. Your definitions sets the parameters.
  11. Rent skates then. When I travel I usually don't bring my skates, and rental skates are pretty decent.
  12. Bruce Lee always maintained that the 2 essential items were one's own body and gravity. If - for you - it must also be an entertaining 'skill' then consider acrobatics... try teaching yourself to stand upside down balanced on one hand... it took my colleague 5 years to achieve this particular feat but he never gave up and is now very fit as a result... and it did not cost him anything...
